Find the right software, and its associated resources.
The goal of the OS X Software Map Project is to better categorize software while allowing the community to work on solving annoyances while sharing tips & tricks for any OS X application.
The project will provide Mac users with an intuitive way to find appropriate software by providing an interface where software is organized by its primary and support functions. Ideally other decision factors used to evaluate software (such as user ratings, technical support, level of active development, etc..) would also be provided making the decision process even easier.
Furthermore tips, tricks, tutorials and general information about applications can be attached and collaboratively edited “best practices”, “annoyances & wishlist items”, “addons” and links to external sources for outside information or official support forms, bug trackers and feature request forms.
This project is based on the original idea posted on MindTweak.com, The New Software Map and can also expand to incorporate the ideas in Collaborative Help for all Applications.
