I read this article about smart phone software allowing you to use your smartphone as an IR remote, adjust the volume on your HiFi, change TV channels, open your garage etc. Pretty cool I thought. but then they bring up a good point. all these things work off IR, and how many phones are made with IR? My thought is, as much as this is a great software, the devices arent there to use it, not because it such an advanced technology, but exactly the oposite. We shouldnt have to look for phones that can use IR tech, manufacturers should be creating TV and HiFi hardware that uses BT. Am I wrong? lets discuss…
